Ship Motion Associates (SMA) can perform technical investigations and analyses of marine accidents, specializing in small craft boating accidents. Our staff can deliver results of our investigations orally or in the form of written reports, and may testify and provide expert evidence in court. Our clients include the insurance industry and the legal profession.

	Motion analysis of high-speed craft including recreational boats and personal watercraft (PWC).
	Static and dynamic stability of boats and ships.
	Failure analysis of AC/DC electrical systems in recreational craft.

SMA staff and associates can:

	Perform computer-based simulation and analyses of marine vessels.
	Design and conduct field tests of recreational boats / personal watercraft.
	Supply computer- based instrumentation for field tests.
	Design and conduct laboratory tests using scale models in towing tanks.
