| Dr. Lewandoski has written a graduate-level textbook on the
theory of boat and ship motion. A major goal of this book is to describe
the theory in terms that can be used in simulation for design or for
training purposes. The book includes significant sections on the
maneuvering characteristics of low speed vessels, and on wave-induced
motion and motion mitigation systems. A section that derives
mathematical models for the motion of high-speed craft (including
transverse and directional stability) is of special interest. |
